1st year of Versa & Tiida?

I have a few questions:

1.Was the first model year of the Versa 07 but came out in late 06?

2.What was the first year of the Tiida and is it on the same platform as the Versa?

I was just wondering all this because the Tiida photos I have seen have a different hood and front grill from the Versa.

1. Yes. It debuted in July 2006 as a 2007 model.

2. The Tiida was first available in September 2004. Yes, it is merely renamed with minor cosmetic changes for other markets, like the US. The Tiida/Versa rides on the Nissan B platform.

2. b. The different hood and grille are just cosmetic differences. Also, different engines are available in other markets. I think 1.5 and 1.6 L displacements.

also front and back bumper are different

and the front of the tiida is either wider or narrower... because IMPUL had to remake the body kit for the V. I am fairly certain I read this from a reliable source...
