Forum newb here. Great data resource.
Brother was original owner from boomershine Ga. dealer and I purchased from him @320K and the truck lives in central Fl.
The truck mentioned above has 385K the head has never been off the a/c still works and except for the syncronizers making shifting a little wonky the truck was running great. I have trouble shot my way down to the point of the coil transistors being the possible faulty part and what my question is-is the dealer says I have either hitachi or haschin (sp) transistors and I have to replace with the same. I have few numbers and letters on my coil and transistor parts but they mean nothing to the dealer in terms of identifying
what brand I have.
Can someone here tell me if it matters at all or how to know what brand I have?

Checked for hitachi and hashan (sp?) symbols on internet found my coils to have hitachi symbol.
