Just got my new 07 G35X Black/wheat/rosewood yesterday with nav/tech/premium packaes. *Fantastic* car.

I upgraded from the car I'd had for the last 10 years - 98 lexus gs400. What a difference. I had test driven the new GS350 AWD and the G35x, and there's no comparison. The G35x is just as comfortable, handles twice as well, and is dripping with sex appeal and new technology compared to the lexus. And for $10k less.

I'm hooked! Now all I need is diplomatic immunity from speeding tickets...

Hey FPSMO, I'm thinking of stepping up and getting a G35X too - a sedan, not the coupe. I haven't test driven one yet, but am a little concerned it might be a little tight. I'm a pretty big guy (6'3", 280lb+). What do you think?

Ughhh I hear you man, I was barreling down @ 100mph with another G35 owner down expressway around 2pm the other day, it was a blast because the car handles so damn well.

I'm 5'10" / 200 and fit very well in the 07 G35x, The only thing I can think of is whomever is gonna ride behind you is gonna be squashed as the space for the rear passengers is limited to say the least already. Definitely test drive it, I know this 300+ 5'9" that drives it and he loves it, if thats of any help. Good luck.

Thanks Omegamerc. That's good to know. I know of no other car that, at least on paper, matches it. I would've gone to the dealer today but they were closed. I look forward to joining the club of happy G owners. See you in traffic court...

I just took delivery today.

I traded in my 04 Benz E500.

I thought I might be a little dissapointed coming out of that car but let me say that Im in love with this machine right now. Its a G35x sedan Blue slate...Black interior. Cant wait until the wet roads dry up this week.

Hi-

Sorry for the late response. I'm average size - 5'10", 160, and feel the front seats are perfect. I have probaly 3-4 inches of headroom.

Screw the back seat!

Yeah, I took the afternoon off on Monday and went to the Acura dealership and then the nearest Infiniti dealer. I test drove the TL Type S. It was a decent ride, but the interior seemed clunky and poorly designed, although the navigation system seemed like it was quality (my boss has an Odyssey and it looks like the TL-S has the same system). Interestingly, the salesman felt it necessary to give me 10-minute overview of all the tech gadgets before I even started the car (he actually made me sit in the passenger seat while we were in the lot). So I test the drove the car and, in all honesty, it was a decent ride.

So I headed over to the Infiniti dealership immediately after test driving the TL-S. First impressions, the Infiniti dealership didn't have the 3-7 cigarette smoking sales guys hanging around outside as I saw at the Acura dealership (and every other dealership I've visited). I test drove the G35X - a sweet ride!!! Inspiring, spirited... Head and shoulders above the TL-S. As far as room, I actually felt as though I had more room in the G than I did in the Acura, although anyone sitting behind me would've been cramped (sounds like their problem!).

In conclusion, I'm looking to take delivery end of March. Question: what do people like better, Blue Slate or Lakeshore Slate?
