Reading your post - a couple of things SEEM clear-you got caught with your pants down - letting the (so called) ricer bait you - also sounds like you either never saw the cop car or the speed trap-you seemed ignorant of the fact that you were in a 55 mph zone - it appears that you are still in denial - -you didn't know how fast you were going - again it seems like you are still in denial since you don't state that you never went 85Shift3.5SE wrote:well the title explains it all....was driving on the highway chasin this ricer after he did his little ricer flyby on me when he slows down and suddenly takes an exit....the zone is supposedly a 55mph zone and i was pretty sure i was going at least 65 but all of a sudden i see these 2 headlights coming up behind me really fast and what do you know? its a statey. so he pulls me over and claims to have clocked me going 85!!!! 85 can you guys believe that? i dont know if i should try appealing this ticket or ask my neighbor next door (who's also a cop) to do me a favor and to get rid of the ticket somehow.....aww man this sucks.....any suggestions would be helpful.....besides the drive slower suggestion lol
i cant believe you actually got away that easy!!!! i'm from texas where if you do the speed limit you are gonna get run over......but since i've been here in virginia i've gotten one ticket off post and one on. the one i got off post was because i was following the speed of traffic and i didnt see the cop sitting on the shoulder. of course he picked me...think it was my texas plates!!! so he cited me for going 14 over. and when i went to court they said that in virginia if you are going 15 or more over you are reckless endagerment and its automatic 30 days license suspension, pay a hefty fine, and if i'm not mistaken a few days in jail!!!! i know a pa statey that got pulled over while driving in virginia and they almost did that to him!!! that is why i hate driving here. for one people have no clue how to drive here. i think they got their license from a cracker jack box. and two the cops are always hiding to getcha!!1BluCoupe wrote:yea i got a ticket in my coupe 2 weeks after i got it i was going 24 over and hte judge dismissed it if i took driving school. it was a statey also who pulled me... guess im just lucky. lol
Foolish, if not stupid, of you to sink to that low level and chase a ricer. Now you have to pay for your actions.kamikazestorm420 wrote:you broke the law, you pay for the consequences.
if you dont want to get discriminated just because of the car you drive, sell it and get a f150 then. if you werent speeding, im pretty sure the f150 or the camry would have been pulled over. you broke the law, got the consequences. it was just your bad luck that he chose you out of the 3.Hussain wrote:i was coming home one night with one of my friend's to study for a chemistry test and it was like 11:30 or midnight. there were like 3 cars around me, all of us doing about 80-85 and the speed limit was 65. out of no where a cop comes out. the person next to me pulled over and the cop went AROUND them to come and get me. he like targeted my car! everyone doing the same speed and he goes around cars to come after me.... it's cuz later on i looked it up on google and he got like special training on racers and i guess at night he sees a F150 truck, an old Toyota camry and a shinny, sporty coupe. *** hole discriminated against my car..... now here go all the "you shouldn't have been speeding anyway" people..... everyone was going the same speed
here in cali you just take it to trial, reschedule, and pray the cop doesnt show up lol (my cop did). either that or some people have told me about the whole lawyer thing.
Wow! You used Google... You're not too smart, are you? Using the argument "everyone else was breaking the law!" confirms my suspicion.Hussain wrote: it's cuz later on i looked it up on google and he got like special training on racers and i guess at night he sees a F150 truck, an old Toyota camry and a shinny, sporty coupe. *** hole discriminated against my car..... now here go all the "you shouldn't have been speeding anyway" people..... everyone was going the same speed

50 km over (31 mph over) in Ontario and they tow the car to be impounded right away at your cost, can call you a taxi of course. Your license is suspended right there on the side of the road. You get a court date within 7 days and they can choose to nail you with 10,000 in fines and a long long suspension like up to 2 years. American license? Same thing.Frozer!!! wrote:Id bee happy with just that ticket. If the cop woulda seen you street racing you are really screwed. In illinois here theyll take your license away, and good luck fighting that one lol. So far I think the worst state ive been in for a speeding ticket is indiana. $185 ticket 90 in a 70
we're did it say that i used the argument "everyone else was doing it" in court? not that i actually have to prove anything to you BUT in court i asked if he got me on radar and he didn't, he said he got behind me and maintained the same speed as me and that i was doing 82 mph and that his police car was tested and found to be no more then 1 MPH off. i asked if he had any special training in determining people's speeds without a radar gun and it turns out he's passed that training for years with no more then 2 mph off. and how does looking him up on google make me look stupid? my friend had his lap top and after we got to my house he was like lets look him up on google and i was like ok what ever.... so get your facts straight before you try and come at me all crazy like that.SHIFT_2.5S wrote:
