1st service maintenance

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I got a letter from my infiniti dealership stating that my first maintenance visit is due. I called in to book an appointment and the lady on the phone said that I only had my car for 3 months and that I don't need to bring it in unless I want to waste my money. Haha, I never would have thought they would say that. I live in harsh climate where sometimes it's about -30C and drive in the city, thus stop and go. I was looking at the service maintenance booklet and thought to myself that I'm in a schedule 1 maintenance category. My mileage is about 3200km. Do you guys think it's fine if I just wait until 6months or when I reach 6000km to go in for my first service? Oh, and incase people are wondering how much they are charging for the visit I got a quote. It's in Canadian $. The lady said that for this first visit, all they do is oil filter and oil change, rotate tires, and some "light spec"? and the cost would be $119 plus tax.

I told my Dealer that I will NOT be bringing my Car in before its Mileage says to do so.

Their records must be based on Months... and my Records(?) are based on Mileage.

They don't seem to have a problem with me using "Mileage".

Wherabouts in Canada do you live ?

Thanks EXceptional, really appreciate your advice! I think I'm going to wait until it reaches 6000km before I bring it in.
I live in Calgary, AB and there's only one dealership in this city - Hyatt Infiniti. I really hope they don't screw me over when I do go in because they know they are the only one in the city. So far, I have no complaints with them and had good service when buying the car in Nov/10.
