1st Service - Detailing and scratches

Hi all, looking for some input/advice:

My G35x is almost due for its first service, shortly after I took delivery of the car (like 2 days later the very next time I pulled it out of my garage) I noticed certain body/paint issues, specifically, the hood has some scratches to the clear coat that look like the dealer may have already tried to buff out and failed as they are still noticeable. Also the front passenger door has a weird spot right above the door handle that looks (in certain lights) like it is a slightly different (darker) shade of silver (either repainted in the factory or by the dealer or some other weird issue).

Question is, should I let the dealer try to take care of these? Obviously, I'm worried about these guys just making it worse, as it is the car was delivered with way too many swirl marks for my tastes (notwithstanding my looking it over front to back, up and down, I literally was blinded by the sun - damn it looked good that day!!)

I know that I'm a bit obsessive about this sort of thing, but something tells me that in this regard I'm not alone on this board.

I'd be leery of the dealer unless they have a dedicated body shop. I've noticed that several Infiniti dealers don't have a true body shop and have done poor jobs in taking care of these kinds of issues.

where did you get your infinti from? i just picked mine up (new) on saturday and today had these weird scratches on my car

Mine is from Infiniti of Massapequa, and my experience was pretty much the same. Did not/could not see the scratches, blemishes when I Picked it up (very brifght and sunny afternoon - car looked terrific). By the next day I saw the scratches (and my car was garaged in my own house - no one or anything got near it).
