7k miles and brought it in for it's first oil change. (500 miles early using the highway mileage schedule!)

Have to say I had low expectations for my stealership but I drove in and got out and was immediately welcomed with a hello and handshake! Guy put a plastic bag over the seat and a paper floor mat in the car.

I had called about the price and they told me a standard oil change was only $27 after tax and when I told them it was my first one they informed me it was complimentary! I know some stealerships offer the first year of oil changes free but I'll take anything!

They said the only thing needed to be done was rotate the tires but I told them I would wait till next time. I did hear them sell a lady three wiper blades for her Versa for something crazy... like $24! (Mental note, change air filter, cabin air filter, and blades before next oil change...)

Even got a free car wash and they drove the car up to the front for me.

Not always. It totally depends on the dealership. Some places don't give any free, some give 1 free, some several, some for a year or even for as long as you own your car. Take what you can get and be happy for the freebie.

not me either...the only way I got mine was because i found a few little scratches near the rear drivers side door. I didn't really care because it was hard enough for me to find that car plus i wasnt going to make a fuss about a few scratches so in exchange they gave me a free oil change.

that's the danger with absolute statements, they are so easy to contradict.

By the way... 3 blades for $24 isn't a bad deal, considering the rear blade is NOT a generic snap-in variety... you probably won't be able to get one from a parts store.
