lol, you're screwed man. Seriously, there is NO good swap for the Altima. The SR20DET might have fit in the Japanese Altimas, but it won't fit into our cars without a tremendous amount of work. That is to say, there is NO direct swap-in engine.

I believe nobody has really even attempted the swap. I am going to attempt it this summer (with a good writeup if I am successful). I have heard also of the SR20VE and the SR20DE from the Sentra. And some site put a VG30DETT in but I heard it never actually ran. With the right amount of money anything is possible.

It can be done. Many people on this other altima forum i post on have done it. If you are really serious i can hook you up with someone that has installed one.

i myself have a 93 and a 96 alitma one with a vq30dett engine swap from a 95 maxima and the other is an rb25dett borrowed from a salvaged 91 r-32 awd and rear wheel drive so yes it can be done and is worth the time and effort i had great friends and a great shop to work on them in money was tight but possible so all you need is the right focus on your goal a great sense of control and maybe 18 grand to invest on the projects but in the end its all worth it every blood sweat and tear poured into it

I was gonna say....the vq30 is in, done, running and now being supercharged as well....brackets in and made for S/C and he does drive the Vq30 powered alti.
I been reading with great interest...although I am planning on one day doing just a SR swap...but thats waaaaaaaaaaaay down the line
