1st gear grind

i have been noticing lately that when i am at speeds higher then 25 to 30 Mph, comin to a stop, I press the clutch down and put it into first, and with the clutch down it grinds. It is only my first gear that does it, and only when i down shift from higher speeds. If you have any ideas let me know, the car had a new clutch in it when i bought it, so im hoping its nothing major

First has no syncro, so it doesn't appreciate being shoved into while still in motion. Remember that the transmission is still spinning at whatever speed you're moving, so since you're moving at a higher speed than 1st is (it's presumably not moving at all), the gear will grind. Every car I've driven has some resistance to going into first while moving, so unless I'm at an absolute crawl I won't go there.
