I would like to thank Virus77 A very bad *** person who sold me his ECU for cheap. And it fixed the issue with my ECU!

Well here is the warning... If you are ever driving to work and all the sudden you're car feels like you lost a cylinder (PULL OVER)

I however did not pull over and just finished my 15min drive to work... I got to work popped my hood and re-attached the #1 wire that popped off the distributor...

To make a long store short my distributor was arching to my turbo intake tubing and shorted out my ECU causing the computer to randomly tell the injectors to go 100%... Very very annoying and a pain to drive / keep running.

Ahh but that's not it!

My stereo head unit display was flickering after that... But I had to drive the car to get to work and it still played music so I thought what the hell I'll just keep using it... (WRONG BAD IDEA)

So A few days later I finished the few wires up on my ultimate and when I plugged in my battery and tried to start the car... (BOOOM) The stereo popped... Well apparently when this happens it can take the OBD2 port and the Dash clock with it... And these functions DON'T come back when a new ECU is installed... ****.

All of this made me so mad I went over the top and bought a new car... The ///M3. Which is a good car to take chicks out in. However the 240sx is still fun to drive because its a go-kart.

So there you have it... the BS I just delt with.

kinda confused by what u are saying. so you were getting a misfire obviously on #1 cylinder and spark jumped and that fried your ecu? wtf

but even after replacing your ecu, you still had some other electronics not working?

so what fixed those problems?

i had some electical issues with mine a while back but ended up finding out it was the 100A main fuse in the engine bay that was blown.

Yep the #1 spark arched and blew the ECU... Weird yes. I checked all the fuse's and none are damaged.

And yeah the clock under the tach is gone... And the OBD2 port power is wasted.

The 100% duty has not come back after 2 days of driving it.... yet. If it does happen to come back I'm at a loss what it could be and may just dump the car for a little cash.

92-99, the M3 motors changed in 1997 to a 3.2 l vs the older 3.0 l, but they both put out 240 horses in US trim..

95-99 in the US. All with Variable Valve Timing (VANOS) on the intake side so it puts down 160+ RWTQ from 2k to Redline 7k peeks at almost 220RWTQ... 97+ are 3.2L Only about 35k made in the US (This was a factor for my next car) Just say no to cars everyone has!

91-99 Euro models had (VANOS) on intake and exhaust so it made 286hp all the way to redline... 97+ are 3.2L

Its a great daily driver... Its very safe with its massive breaks and Stability Control / Traction Control.

the 95-99 Euro models actually have Individual throttle bodies on the M3's vs. the US single throttle body and they put out 320 horses, very similiar to the new US spec M3 motor.

17k -- I have to replace the master & slave cylinder, replace one speaker, replace one tension pulley, and add a short shifter. About $250 for parts and $450 for the SS

And the Traction Control is more like Stability Control.

And the fix is not to buy an M3. But its not a bad option... I even get better gas mileage. Its about 24mpg 28ish when i went to Seattle.
