The body shop owner got shut down and went broke. The car was stuck at the shop, and there was nothing I could do about it. I thought I might never see my car again, I was pissed beyond belief. When the dust settled he reopened another shop but by then things were never the same between us. After promissing and prommising that he'll finish it, he never did, and I almost came to the point of giving up. I told him I'll sue him, and after a long battle with him I got my car back last fall, in the summer of 2012.
On a brighter note, I got the tuning bug back and that brings us to now. The engine got messed up sitting for so long and was smoking really bad when I got it back. My whole plan to turbo the KA was down the drain. Instead of rebuilding the motor I sold all the turbo stuff I got for it, and bought a SR swap donor car. I did the engine swap myself . Here are some pics of that and getting the car stripped again, painting the engine bay, and undercoating the underneath. Along withe engine swap came some more goddies. Nismo two way differential, and hks 4inch high flow exhaust.
