Okay I am pretty much completely decided on the 1jz swap in my (na z32 2+2), I just would like to get some feedback from people that have done this. I have a buddy who owns a supra that he has dropped a 1jz in. His car is a daily driver that inspired me to do this . When ever we all get togather to go out his car is never down and it really moves ,sounding great while doing it .
But i dont only want to do it for that reason . I would love to be able to do mod work or regular service to my car without almost having to pull out the motor for everything . So hit me with all that you got . Pros cons ups downs

Well i can pretty much vouch for what everyone is gonna say on here at NICO. Just do a TT swap, i know the engine bay has like no room but if you get an engine and re-build it before you put it in you should never have to get in there again. Also put on all the goodies that you want. PLUS you'll have to think about motor mounts, a transmission, a driveshaft, exaust, the list goes on....

If you do do it tho def. post that up in the Gen. section i'd like to see it

I say go for it.

Pros:

It's a relatively simple engine, with 1 turbo, 1 manifold, 1 downpipe, 1 TB etc etc, so it's cheaper too

Cons:

It's a Toyota engine

I say go for it 100%. It's nice to do something different. Don't listen to all the crossbreeding motor nonsense, it's your car.

The reason you see "1000hp+" Supras all over the place is because all the fanbois are modding them to play the number game, since the car is "so much better of a platform" (Which is why the Z32 was on the Top Ten List for Car and Driver 7 consecutive years and 1990 Motor Trend Import of the Year, while only the Mark II Supra made 1983 and 1984's Top Ten List for Car and driver, but that's beyond the matter).

A VG can easily make 700whp+, and that is still a ridiculous number for street use. There are 1000hp+ VG30DETT's out there as well, just not as well publicized.
