V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

ya the 240swap, its bad ***.One thing i just figured out though is correct me if im wrong butthe 2jz gets its hp at 5200rpmand the 1jz get it at 6200.i looked at a swap site so i think its right? i think its because of the 3.0 over the 2.5 thoughjdmtigerjapanese.com is where im looking at the motors and they are really cheap.2jz is 2900 with a 200 shipping charge1jz is 1900.i dont see why its so expensive to get them in besides the mounting cost and if you got it installed somewhere.$2900 2jz$200 shipping$1000 bolt ons$700 mounting$4800 totalAverage it up to $5kHalf of the guys i know of spent that much on a sr swap with extras andonly making around 300hp not to mention the little tq they usually put out(50-100)less then the hp.

The big question is....is that site bull?or is this shop that charges $12,500 in Redding Ca just trying to dumb ****sAnd i know 240swap shop charges 8500 which ain`t bad since they do everything

Tech2 motorsports will do the swap for $8500

But don't forget your you can add up parts but you'll have to almost double your original cost thoughts to get what it is REALLY gonna cost.

hell price out a SR20 swap. that is only what 2-3K but you even said too your friends have over 5000 into there swap.

love the swap. did all the fabrication myself. i have a build page if you're interested --> http://www.kms-fab.com/proj240.html

an old *** post of some work in progress - zerothread/253672

wiring was done with some help from ppl on drag240 and supraforums. so far, i've gotten to drive it around to work out some bugs and i love it over the sr20 i had in it previously. just if you have fabrication skills and the will to do it and learn then go for it. there is information out there, it just needs to be found.

got a 1jz supra front clip for $2500/shipped and worked my way through it.

current setup:1jz motor w/r154 transR32 GTS rear diffRPS max clutch with driftmotion flywheel440cc injectorsSAFCIIGT40821jz crower 264 cams (thanks Zann)blah blah

where there is a will, there is a way...

keep us updated with pics and such!brett

its done, no numbers yet. just tuning on a SAFC now til i go with a Stinger EMS unit. just need to hook up the speed calibrator and sensor and we'll be good to go.

the clip - RND auto...they were ok. said they did a compression and leakdown test the showed great bnumbers, but they were wrong. motor had 110 psi compression across the board...luckily, after startup and all that, i got it up to 160 psi...**** probably sat for a long time.

anyways, its doing well.

great sources include supraforums, supramania, drag240sx (if its still in exsistance), nicoclubkeep on trucking,
