Hey all, I am hoping to get some help here, I found a place that sells JDM motors and they have the 1jz-gtte for $2200, and then another place that has the 2jz-gte for $2750. Is that a good price? also could some one help me out by getting or telling me where I can find info on these engines - power limitations, known problems and so on, if I remember right, the 2jz can take 28psi on stock internals, not sure though. But any help would be nice, thanks.

Are those prices with transmission's included?
If transmission's are included they're decent prices. Yes the 2JZ is bomb-proof and in stock trim can handle maybe even more then 28psi. With a big single turbo nothing short of an ICBM can touch it on the top end. I have T76 on mine and due to the lack of race gas haven't been able to turn up boost beyond 22psi. Shoot me an email if you want to know of another place that gives good deals on Toyota motors.
