I've been looking at some after market rims and the ones I want (varrstoen 3.3.2) only in 9.5s or 10.5s. Has/does anybody have 19x9.5s on their altima coupe? I also plan on lowering my car about a inch, so I'm wondering if there are any rub issues. Oh and the offsets are +12 or +22. I know +30s are perfect but has anybody tried this setup before?

I've been also looking at the g37 sport rims, but I'm not a fan of staggered rims on a FWD. Kind of hard to find those rims, all same widths.

if you go 19x9.5 with a +22 offset be prepared to rub, especially if youre lowered. you'll have some poke out from the wheel well too.

Id say 9.5 +22 in the rear is doable with some modifications, but on the front its gonna be pushing it and your gonna have to stretch a smaller width taller to not have it rub. Id say be prepared to rub or be prepared to put some serious work into the fenders.

Find something +38 and you won't have to stretch your tires, I didn't :gapteeth:

That's where I'm undecided. Idk if I want to run a 19x9 or 9.5 with a offset of +35 or above, or run a 19x8.5 with a +15 offset or somewhere around that and pull my fenders. I like the look of both and want to have it sit flush. I've thought maybe I'd be better off just getting a higher offset and running some spacers if I want it pushed out. Just trial and error I guess. It would be nice to run a 255 tire though. How is the handling whitesr and how flush are you. Any rubbing problems....?

I wanna run 19x9.5 +22 next with tire stretch, hopefully achieving no rubbing with no camber or no fender pulling lol.
I'm willing to go down the trial and error process if I can get the wheels for the right price and get a decent amount of research done.

The handling is great! I had rubbing issues for the rears prior to the Eibach drop so I had the rear fender lips rolled (no pull) but after the Eibach drop I've had zero rub issues at all. I drive aggressively through a canyon road to/from work and it's not always a smooth road lol.

alexm- that sounds like a mean setup. Id like to run something similar. I know plenty about wheels and offsets just nothing at all about pulling fenders. I have my rear fenders rolled already cause I thought i might have had problems running the 18x9 +30's but never have even come close. I think 19x9.5 +22 with a small amount of rear camber would look insane. I cant wait to see someone do it or for myself to get the money to try it out. LOL

whitesr- Do you think you can run coilovers with your setup. I didnt know you were on eibachs. I like how the look is and the 255's sound great, but im doubtful it could still be pulled off with that width and dropped unless you kept the coils at a medium drop. Anyways im glad your happy with it. Sounds like it would be alot better handling with 255's vs a 225 or 235.

Honestly I'm not sure, I'm thinking there would be rubbing issues like crazy but who knows. If I ever go with coilovers I will let ya know :chuckle:

You guys have been workin at this wheel thing a bit -

I need guidance on whether or not I should attempt some 18 x 9.5 wheels at +40 offset. This size and offset is the only thing available for the wheel I'm looking at as it's a discontinued wheel, which is why I'm asking.

Thanks in advance.

well just to let u know xenon, i put on the g37s rims, 19x8.5 +43 front and 19x9 +45 back wrapped in 245/40/19 all around and it sits almost flush without a drop. no rubbing issues. I'd say just becareful of what tire size u get

hope it helps a bit

I have the same setup on my G37S rims for a while I put the 19x9 in the front with no issues what so ever!

rasmot: does the tire 245/40/19 look different on the 19x8.5?

i thought it would originally cause i used this website http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp and the offset is +2 different but after putting them on and examining them,i cant tell a difference. Can't even tell its staggered. Now that u said you switched your x9s to the front w/o problems, i think i will too when its time to rotate! thanks

Got around to buying a different set of wheel since the weedeater incident a couple weeks ago. I bought axis elite in matte black. Size is 19x9.5 +40. Im gonna run a 245/40/19 and then determine whether or not I want to run any spacers.

I would run a 10mm spacer for that.

I used to run 9.5 +45 with 10mm spacers. I recommend Ichiba, quality stuff the spacer is hub centric and the extended bolts are anodized and very strong.

In your case 9.5+30 sounds delicious. I would keep 9.5+45 on the front though; there's less clearance in the front I find.

I appreciate the advice. Did you run the version 1 or 2. Im only asking because I wanted to run version 1 but Im not certain on how difficult it is to get the old studs out and get the new ones to seat all the way in. Then with version 2 I run into the dilema with the original studs sticking out extra once the spacer is on and if the new wheels dont have the extra spacing on the back to allow for that. I was thinking 15mm spacers in rear and 5mm in front. But once I get the wheels on Ill measure and see what will look good. I might not push it too far until I can afford to get some coilovers and then run some camber once its dropped. Im currently on eibachs. Any advice or info would be alot of help.

I have version 1's. For 5mm version 1's, stud replacement is necessary. Idk how unsafe it is but mine don't require extended studs for the 8mms I have on. But for 10mms you def need stud replacements. I heard it costs like $300 at a shop but acidjake helped me with it for very cheap.

Hey man, what tire size are you rockin on the 19x9s? This is going to help me decide if I can pull off the wheels I'm after. I'm asking you because you're lowered on Eibachs as well, correct? I'll be going with Tein SS Coils, but I'm not looking to slam the vehicle. Will be doing a moderate drop. At max height on the coils, it's around where the Eibach springs are.

Version 1, with the extended studs.

Still rocking the 10mm longer studs without spacers, looks fine, just have to either use open-ended lug nuts or extended ones.

I tried installing the studs myself at first, but I found that the hub has to be taken apart :(

Had a shop do it for $100 per side, so $200.

Hub has to be taken apart? Has anyone done this themselves. Id like to do it myself without having to pay someone to do it. I hate wasting money for someone else to do stuff I could prolly do myself with a little info. I have all the tools I would need. Just need to know exactly what I will be getting myself into.

Ok I reread that and answered my own question. lol
