Yeah, I'd forget performance mods for the time being and focus on getting it back up to par since it sounds like you're not making anything close to stock HP. You shouldn't be struggling to keep up on the freeway. I'd recommend getting a cheap code scanner if you don't already and see if there's any pending codes. Take a look at the simple things like spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, and air filter. All of those can cause significant drains on performance if out of date.
Check your fuel pressure and make sure it's within spec.
Running Seafoam through the intake gave me some extra ponies in the butt dyno too. If you do that, use a vacuum hose that's attached to the intake plenum, not the intake ducting
Then, focus on things like hard starts, smoke out the tailpipe, rough idle, etc. which can point you to things like clogged injectors or leaking fuel pressure regulators. Upstream oxygen sensors are also not terribly expensive (though hard to replace) and can give you a performance bump too since they get lazy over time.
Once that's all done, there are CAI systems you can get, aftermarket headers and exhaust, electric fan conversion, and a number of other performance modifications.
