I ahve 88,000 miles on my 1999 Q45t and it runs great. I use good gas but with the current price I alternate between 89 and 93 octane. The dealer would like for me to do fuel induction service for $130?? Is it worth it, I use gumb out form time to time and it seems a bit expensive??

Please advise

Thanks

On my 96Q with 215,453 miles on it and has never seen a fuel injection service of any kind EVER....just occasional injector cleaner thrown in the gas tank{ probobly average of 2x/yr}....idles and runs great with original fuel injectors that have seen MTBE from 96-04 and ethanol fuel from 2004 til today.

An intake fogging at best is good for maintaining a clean intake (induction, not injection) path. It will not clean a truly soild one, which as far as I can tell occurs well before 50K with the best maintenance (annual or more frequent filter changes).

An injector flush is a whole different thing. Many providers play loose with the terms and confuse the two.
