I have had a problem with my pathfinder the engine starts but it pulses at all rpm ranges i have changed fuel filter, pluges, wires, distributor cap and had the catalytic converters checked they are clean fuel pressure is good wondering if it could be the fuel pressure regulator. the mechanic that look at it for me said it was getting to much gas. is there a sensor on the throttle body that would cause this.

Good call. . the second post would leave me to believe this too. my gf's car had this problem recently actually, but it would hover around 4k.

One line was disconnected, the other had a split in the tube.

are you getting any SES codes? i would just even try unplugging the battery over night and see what happens. i know one of my 02 sensor wires melted together when it touched the exhaust manifold and caused all kinds of crazy problems, i would also check your ground wires.
