I need to replace the distributor on my 1999 Nissan Pathfinder. Anyone have any idea how to remove the bolts (it's in a really tight space)? Any special tools?

Is there not only one bolt on the drivers side? I cant remember if I used a ratcheting wrench or a wobbly socket extension..

I can't say anything about the VQ35DE, but if you have the VG33E like I do, the distributor can be removed with the single bolt on the drivers side. The passenger side bolts do not need to be removed. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply but I already figured it out after purchasing the part from the dealership, and yes it was just 1 bolt. Looks are def deceiving! :)

The VQ35DE has no distributor. It uses coil on plug ignition.
