1999 Path with interior lights that come on when turning sharply to the right

Hi there...Has any had a problem with the interior lights coming on when turning sharply to the right? It does it more offten when I have weight in the back. That is telling me that there might be an issue with the hatch? What do you think? I also have a seat belt light on the dash that blinks even when the seatbelts are fastened.

Sounds like it might be an issue with one of the door switches... See if you can replicate it sitting still, pushing on the right side doors from the inside...

Seatbelt light should be pretty simple, probably a bad connection. Remove seats, trace wires from buckle to connector.

sitting in the car with the engine running push outward at the lower rear corner of the left doors and look for the light to come on. Which ever door is causing the problem with cause the door ajar light to come on and possibly the dome lamps if they are set to the door position. If pushing on the door gets you nothing do the same with the hatch. have someone sitting back there pushing out on the hatch at the bottom and see if the light illuminates. if it does you need a whole latch assembly for the hatch as the switch is incorperated in it. If you find its a left door switch add a washer under the screw mount between the switch and the body or adjust the door if its not flush with the body.
