Hey all, first time poster here, having some problems with my car.. basically I was pulling into my apt complex, went to downshift to 2nd, and the car would not go into gear. Managed to get it pushed to a parking space, and tried to restart, there is just a grinding noise of the gears grinding when trying to go into first or reverse. I haven't had any problems with the gears slipping and there was no other evidence of a transmission problem so i'm hoping that isn't the issue. After a lot of reading it seems the simplest thing to do is to find the clutch fluid reservoir and fill it, bleed, refill. Problem is I cannot find the reservoir for this. I know it's usually near the brake fluid reservoir, but doesn't seem to be the case here despite the people at the nissan dealership telling me it was right there by the master cylinder near the firewall. I've looked at owners manuals and repair manuals for the vehicle, all of them assume the car is an automatic transmiission, even the manual in the glove box, so no help there. Couuld anyone point me to where the clutch fluid reservoir might be? Or am I barking up the wrong tree even trying to fix the problem this way?

I'm in abit of a situation in that I don't have the money to have the car towed to a shop, and don't have the money to have a new clutch installed or worse yet, transmission, if that's the case, so that's why I'm hoping for a quick fix with the clutch fluid. Any help is greatly appreciated.

They don't have a clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder, it has a clutch cable, your cable might of over stretched.
