I need help replacing the knock sensor in a 1999 Nissan Maxima with California emmisions. Does anyone have any pictures/illustrations or instructions that can help me? If someone in the Dallas/Fort Worth would help me change it, I would greatly appreicate it and would even compensate you for your time. Thanks.

I had the knock sensor changed by a local shop that specializes in maxima repairs for $25.00. most shops want to remove the intake manifold as stated in many repair books for $350.00 but this shop used a rachette with a small extension with a universal commection near the sockett and replaced it in 20 minutes. I bought a sensor on ebay for $90.00 delivered.

Hi mrbizness1, Im about to get the same type of car too, and I also need to replace the knock sensor. I'd rather not pay the 350 bucks to replace it, so if you dont mind, could you please let me know where is this repair shop you went to? If you could give me the address, it would be wonderful. Thnx.
