got a 1999 nissan altima in the shop and just did the head gasket, now with the car all put together it starts and idles great but wont rev over 2g rpm. I have triple checked my timing and it looks good. Have tried tweaking the distributer and double checked all connections everything seems normal. I dont have a misfire which I would think would comeo up if the timing was off, anyone come across this before, any ideas?

Been trying to figure it out all day and nothin, first tech to have the car tho improperly installed the chain and had the intake cam off a tooth car got towed here, took off valve cover and cam sprockets, set cyl 1 to TDC and aligned cams how they should be and reinstalled everything.

Really giving me a headache and issues if anyone can help please reply

+1. Make sure its plugged up all together lol.

I was putting an air filter on the other day and the damn plug was in my way of one of the bolts and i started the car up with out plugging it in... Would not rev past 2500RPM. I felt retarded when i noticed i didn't plug that back in. I'd start there.

If thats not it, could be a really bad vacuum leak.
