Hey guys. I've had my '99 SE for about a year and a half now, and I've been driving it since I bought it with one of the exhaust hangers broken, and last august found my cat was clogging up as well. Unfortunately as a poor college student, It hasnt been in the budget to do anything about either of these issues, so ive been driving it as is. with summer coming up though, there might be some money to put towards getting everything fixed. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions? Take it to a dealer and see how much it would cost to get the whole exhaust and cat replaced? Source the parts myself and try to find someone to do the work? Go to a full performance exhaust? What would be cheapest? Or should I just try and see what a dealership would say?

http://www.cattman.com

their catback system is awesome, u can spend about $1125 for a full exhaust system and gain performance while doing it...the dealer will charge you LOTS for the parts, and OODLES for the installation.

GO CATTMAN...eventhough i have stillen(NOT 4 LONG)

I would still check with the dealer:1. to see how much they would charge - ask if they have any coupon books, let them know you don't have deep pockets.2. If you DIY, check the prices in the parts dept. I have been surprised at how low some of their maintenance prices were.
