I'm having trouble removing the passenger side headlight bulb for replacement on a 1999 maxima. I don't have the manual and I'm not comfortable tinkering with it until I know how it's removed properly. If you know in detail how to replace this bulb I would appreciate the help! thanks.

There might be a plastic sheet that covers up access to the bulb.

On my 96 there are two plastic screws that hold the sheet in place. Once they are removed, you can get to the wire harness and bulb.

There is a "cap" around the wiring harness. Twist it off and the bulb should come out easily.

You can also remove the wiring harness prior to removing the bulb by pressing or lifting the locking mechanism.

As long as you have a replacement bulb, there's not much to worry about. Just don't pull on the wires and try to refrain from breaking the bulb while it's in the lens.

Also, don't touch the new bulb with anything that will leave residue (your fingers). Get a clean cloth or paper towel.
