1999 j spec front fascia

Well im about to buy a 1999 j spec front bumper for my 300zx na 2+2 should i get The tag bracket shaved ?? Why does people shave it off anyways ?? And should i get the 99 intercooler ducts even though i have a na ?? Im getting it from z1

For the bumper it depends on the state, here in ny you have to mount a plate on the front bumper... But I always prefer shaved he he(couldn't resist!) and for the ducts, unless you have a turbo car they are useless, or run intercoolers on your na? Something I have seen on a Honda ricer!!!!
