1999 Infinity QX4 mysterious starting problem

I am having a mysterious starting problem my 1999 QX4 sometimes will not start. It is an intermittent problem, I pulled the codes from the ECU and there were none. The engine cranks, starts to fire up but then it quits, maybe 1 second it fires up, I can smell gas if I keep trying to start it so I sure it is getting fuel, I checked the spark and there was spark... shouldn’t it run? What would keep it from running? One time it did this I tapped on the relays on the passenger side of the engine compartment, and it started... But the last time this happened I tried that and no go... I need some Ideas PLEASE! I am without transportation...

hold the pedal down while you crank it. when it starts to rev up let off. Also make sure your security light is not on solid when your trying to start it.
