My camshaft position sensor went out, so I replaced the distributor. I made sure that it was at top dead center prior to removing it. Once the new one was in, I checked the timing with the light. Everything seemed to line up. However, I started up the engine and it was idling at close to 2k RPM. After some adjustments, I finally got it idling between 900 and 1k RPM. I began to drive and it seemed to lag between 1st and 2and gear. I was desperate to get it going as I was leaving for a funeral the next morning. The following day, i drove cautiously for about 45 miles and it seemed to lose compression. So, i pulled over and checked the OBD and it was throwing a code for the knock sensor. So, i replaced that and got back on the road. Short while later, i stopped for gas and started it back up. It didn't sound right so I hooked up the OBD again and it was showing the code for the throttle control sensor. So I replaced that and kept going. I made it to the funeral. And I am ready to head home. I started up the engine again, and it is now idling around 500 RPM. I tried looking this up, and came across something about resetting the computer, otherwise it will keep cycling through the sensors and throwing errors. Is this correct, and if so, how do I do that?
