1999 Infiniti Q45 remote controller range issue

hi everyone i am new here and new to infiniti ownership.... the remote controller factory one on my 1999 infiniti q45 lacks range it barely has like 2-3 meters range i changed the batteries in it too didnt really help is there any resolution to this???? any help is appreciated...

Should be about 6 metres.

Maybe the air in the great white north is thicker?

haha thank you for ur reply.. i think its definately not 6m... i donno about air thickness though lol.. i think its supposed to be thinner at higher altitudes... oh yea another question can the Horn chirp when i lock the car be turned on??? thanks

Buy a new one, check out e-Bay they have them all the time or just order from Scotsdale from Joe.

Horn chirps were fazed out in about 1994, unless except for Ford and Chevy.

Be sure you have the correct battery. I think it's a 2125.

some window tinting blocks{shortens} the range of transmitter,as the antenna is in rear window.

Metallic will, ceramic won't.

ok yea i do have tint on the windows its just regular black not metallic... i do have two remotes both kinda acting like the same i do have the right batter 2025..it must me my car then i'll have to live with it:(... thanks everyone for their input and effort to help me i read somewhere that the horn chirp can be turned on but didnt think so, so i asked i wish it did have it thanks everyone again...
