A few days ago, when I went to start my Infiniti, the battery was dead. I heard a humming sound coming from under the hood, and when I checked, it was coming from the Horn 2 and Horn 3 fusible links. I touched them and could feel a slight vibration. I removed both, charged the battery and it's run fine ever since. However, yesterday it was dark when I left work and I realized I had no dash lights or tail lights. The brake lights, horn and headlights work, but not the running tail lights or dash lights. Any ideas? I have not plugged the 2 fusible links back in yet.

I did that Saturday. When I plugged in the new ones, there was no humming or vibration. Dash lights worked, running light worked. Just out of curiosity, I plugged in the old ones and, to my surprise, there was no humming or vibration and everything worked. The only thing that I can figure happened is that the day before this problem occurred, I blew my horn. The next morning, my battery was dead and these links were humming. Is it possible that something, maybe a contact, stuck in the steering wheel when I blew my horn? I didn't really blow it, I just bumped it at a dog in the street.

I would keep the new ones in and see if the problem happens again. Maybe clean the leads for the horns and check the wiring for any issues.
