1999 I30 Lost last key...

cannot start the key with the copy that i have left. is there a way to disable something so i can get my car to start with my spare (copied) key? how much does the dealer charge for a new key? and is there a nissan key i can get instead of infinit, cause i get a discount at nissan. thanks in advance.

With the disabling of something to start it there is nothing that I know of because thats the whole point of the NATS system. You lose your key and get a new one it needs to be programed so it will start. Without a programed key it wont start. Also depends on the dealership honestly how much they are going to charge to program it but the keys are not interchangeable with Nissan and Infiniti. I've tried for a couple different customers and it doesn't work. You can get either to cut and program them but it has to be Nissan for Nissan and Infiniti for Infiniti keys.

go to the dealership with you vin number and they can make you a new one, i did.....it cost me about 50 bucks
