1999.5 QX4 dash lights

Any info out there on what would cause the dash lights to fail? The fuse is good, and the tail lights work. Only the dash lights are affected.

It doesn't seem plausible that all bulbs would go at once.

Someone with more electric knowledge could explain. Dunno how possible it is for a power surge to cause the fuse to be bypassed and short out all your bulbs at once.
... or just switch that fuse around. It might look good visually but in reality might be bad. Never happened to me, but I've heard of it.
