Need Help Please
My 1999.5 le pathfinder keyless remote worked just fine until I decide to add a 2nd one. Dwnld instructions but the dash lights did not come on after the inserting of the key 8-20 times, so I continued anyway with instructions and the dash lights flashed when I pushed the lock button on the original remote and 2nd remote. needless to say they both don't work now.
Any ideas

Do the model numbers & FCC IDs of your original and new remotes match?

Yes, they do and both look identically. I tried programming the old one again by it self but nothing works now

Is the new remote correct according to this chart? how-to-pick-a-factory-remote-t559107.html#p6340724

Have you ensured all of the door switches are undamaged and functional? If one is busted, it will mess up the programming procedure.

Lets forget new one for a sec, I tried programming old one again and I can not get the dash lights to flash after I insert the key 8-10 times.
I can lock/unlock all doors ok.
I did replace the driver & passage door behind driver a few years ago due to an accident. But the same remote worked after the repair. What else could prevent the Dash flashers not to work ie go into programming mode?

Make sure your security light isn't flashing, that all doors are closed and locked, and interior light isn't on. Also make sure the key is going all the way in & out.

I went through this process about 100 times last year trying to program a remote for my new QX4. Turns out the two "working" remotes I bought on ebay didn't work. I took a trip to my local Infiniti dealer and had the parts guy check them. Since it's a quick process to program them, usually they will do it for free if you take them the car & remote.

Try it again. If you do it too slow or too fast it won't work. Get in and close the door. Using the door lock button on the arm wrest lock the doors. insert and remove 6 times within 10 seconds. Keep trying it at different speeds, it will work eventually. Then turn the key to ACC position and push any button on the remote. Lights should do their thing again and you're done.
