My idle on my 1998 QX4 is roughly around 1250 almost 1300rpms. But I'm not getting a SES light is there anything I can do to fix it. Remember the SES light is off.

Although the light is off, doesn't mean it's not storing a code. Some events won't trigger the SES light until a 3rd trip, some will trigger it on first event. Depends on the code. May want to put a scanner to it anyway to see if there are any clues.

When in gear, does it idle back down? May also want to check the linkages, throttle body. The FSM also has a diagnostic procedure for checking idle speed, timing, and idle air mixture ratio. May want to start there.

In gear it goes down to 750 or so. I've checked everything. It's been like this for quit sometime already. No code ever. Last code I had was p0134. But I already changed the o2 and got rid of that one. It's running great besides it idleith a little bit high.

Ok. Check the FSM for the procedure to adjust the idle cam.

I'd also recommend checking the throttle position sensor (TPS) per the FSM as well.
