hello, I was wondering if anyone knew of this being done? Swapping the q45 cluster for the equivalent y33 cimas? My 98 is from Canada and already reads in KM and Celcius.( If that matters or helps)

Or if anyone knows of or has experience in doing a cluster swap before? A write up some where of something? I'm adept with electronics and boards but haven't done anything with a vehicle. It's the same manufacturer, Nissan, the same car/chassis, and has the same cluster icons/readings. Wouldn't there be equivalent connections/wires on my analog dash to link with the digital cimas?

I'm.doing a whole bunch of oem market part swaps/upgrades on the car and this would be a true stand out.

Thanks for any info, take it easy everyone.

I've found that Nissan, at least at that time, used very specific wiring harnesses that varied by option package. I'd be surprised if it's plug-n-play, but without a copy of the service manual from the donor model, it's totally a guess.

I just did this today. Successfully install a Cima Digital Gauge to a 98 Infiniti Q45. Everything works. Took me and my friend 10hrs to get it to work.

Nice! What all did you have to do to get it working?

Man, If you would post a diagram or write up of what you did that would be amazing. It's something I would still really want to do.

^ Yes. Would be cool to see this done and I didn't think this would be possible with the large reflection mirror
