1998 Q45 Valve Cover Gaskets

Hello all, is there anything special to look out for when I replace my valve cover gaskets? I have new spark plugs to put in when I cange the gaskets. I just wanted to know if there were any tricks I needed to know before staring this job

Mainly use the correct PFRG plugs. Some use RTV to keep halfmoons in place.

Follow the FSM in torqueing sequence. I believe it is two stage.

Be extremely careful removing and handling the very SENSITIVE and fragile coils. Too much force at the wrong angle and you will cause problems.........treat them like they were full of Nitro! Unlike the 90-95 coils that can survive a canon launch.

Depends how experienced and equipped you are, and how careful you want to be and how much ancilliary cleaning you want to do.

I recently replaced the gaskets on my 97. The passenger was easy but tedious and the driver was about the same.

Note: If you don't want to be ridiculed by some members of this site then ignore the following:

The driver's valve cover is difficult to remove without removing the brackets that support the air intake. However, the middle bracket on the air intake is extremely time consuming to remove (hidden bolts, bad placement) so I cut mine off with a dremel tool.

There are pcitures here somewhere so do a search and you'll see what I mean, or maybe some fine Nico soul will post my write up.
