1998 Q45 alternator recall

I was getting my oil changed and having the dealership check everything out when the svc manager told me that he would replace the alternator for no charge because of a recall. Not sure what other years this includes - but it's cool to get a brand new alternator on my 98Q45t with 66k miles. Oh yeah, they found nothing wrong except the 2 outer belts needed replacing - $65chaz

I think the 97 and 98 model years in seveal Nissans and Infinti are included in the recall. Good deal for you though!

Chaz- Had this done on my car as well after seeing the recall info in the local paper (and verifying on the web). No biggie, just a new alternator and my first chance to drive a G35 loaner as well. Sweet!

Hey guys, where can I go to verify the recall? I've got a 98 Q45 and am ready for new belts. If the dealer is going to replace my alternator, I'll let them do the belts also.

I found that recall as well. I have a 97 Q and asked the dealer to check if there was a recall for it and the maintainance guy said he looked it up and there wasn't one. Does it affect some of the vehicles made during that time period?
