Little backround about my self first. This pathfinder is my 6th or 7th nissan i think i lost track lol. I have been a maxima fan the day my brother let me drive his. Anyways. This is the first time posting on this forum. So hello to everyone and without further ado.

So i bought this pathfinder about a week ago.Besides guzzling gas it runs pretty well. With the exeption of going into overdrive. It will eventually once i get to the right postion on the throttle. But as soon as i let off the gas a little bit it will pop out of overdrive.

There was a knock sensor cel which i took care of already since it shares the same one as the maxima. I also had p0705. I checked out the pnp switch up in the shifter and it seemed ok so im guessing that it isnt that sensor and it is the one directly on the transmisson. I am more then likely switch this part out hoping it will aliviate the issue. My concern is that ive been reading previous post on the overdrive issue and some suspect the temp sensor inside the trans. So my questions are.

1. Should i replace this as well when i do the inhibitor switch or just do the switch and see how it goes. I realize that doing the temp sensor will require me to drop the pan which im ok with.

2. If i do decide to replace the trans temp sensor what is the part number. Do i have to buy that big wire sensor harness to get it? Or can i get just the temp sensor that plugs into this big wire harness?Image

No i dont watch minecraft stuff my son was on the desktop prior to me taking the shot lol.

Any help would be appriciated hopefully i can enjoy this nissan like i have with my others

The temp sensor would throw its own code (P0710). Check its resistance according to reference spec on page AT-94 of the factory service manual; if it's fine, I'd leave it be.
