Hey guys, need some help here... I've recently been trying to figure out what is going on with my Pathy. It is a 1998 2wd 5spd. I originally went for the quick fix. We pulled codes P0131 and P0325. P0131 for the Rt Front O2 sesnor, replaced it with a Bosch universal. About a week later the same codes were set. Using my old man's code scanner we were able to determine that the sodes were set at 66 mph at around 2800 rpm (which matches my driving experiences), and the voltage for the Rt front o2 varies more than the Lf front. We also checked the TSB for the voltage drop between the ground on the intake manifold and the head - within specs. Checked the compression on the Rt side - all ok. It could probably use a tune up, but I don't think that's it because the thing runs great. Any thoughts???

Does it run rough at all? Are you sure that the sensor is installed correctly?

Yeah it runs great. Not rough at all. The sensor was installed by my father who was a MBZ Master Tech before he retired. Doesn't mean it is right, just not a hack job.

I have been emailing with a Nissan Tech who believes the problem is either the ground dispite the test coming back within specs, or a faulty univ replacement sensor. I'll be doing a tune up and adding the ground this weekend, and if that doesn't work I'll be buying an OEM o2 sensor to replace the univ replacement. If that doesn't get it fixed, off to the dealership it goes!
