Truck: 1998 Nissan Frontier. King cab, 4x4, 5 spd manual.

Issue: Windshield wipers work fine on their own if I turn them on specifically. However if I attempt to activate the washer pump to spray the windshield, I get nothing. No fluid, no reassuring hum that the pump itself is good, and the wipers don't move. If the wipers are already turned on they continue to operate, but again no washer fluid flows. Yes, the reservoir is completely full. ;)

I've tried to find a fuse to check, but I can't find one under the dash or under the hood the correlates to the washer pump specifically. Does anyone know which fuse I should check to ensure that's not the issue? I guess the next step after the fuse is to get my multimeter out and see if current is making it to the pump when the control is activated on the column? Other ideas?

Thanks. Alan

The wipers and washer pump operate off the same fuse (#6) in the fuse J/B. The washer motor has power at all times with the key on and the switch grounds it.Do you have intermittent wipers and do they work properly ?

Thanks for the info sx. So turns out the fuse was fine, so I unhooked the power from the pump and put my multimeter in line and had my wife activate the control and there was indeed power to the pump, so I went to Napa and got a replacement pump. Unfortunately its intake from the reservoir is ever so slightly larger than the one on the pump that I removed, and it turns out I'm not man enough to get it pushed into the reservoir... I guess tomorrow I'm going to have to take down the front fascia below the bumper and see if I can get any better leverage.

Thanks again for the troubleshooting help.
