Hi,

When the ignition is off (No key in), the brake lights are staying on, draining the battery.
I am removing the "Stop Light" fuse in the mean time, until I figure this out.

Test so far:
1. Break pedal switch
- Automatic shifter will not release out of "Park" unless the break pedal is pushed (Verified by working the switch manually as well)
- Break fluid level is good, switch was jumper to check
- Emergency parking switch unknown
- ABS interaction unknow

Any tips on how to go about the troubleshooting?

Thanks!
Dan

There is supposed to be a little rubber thing in the pedal that actually actuates the switch. If that's missing, the switch won't close and the lights stay on. It will also allow the trans to shift as it thinks you've got the pedal down all the time. Also make sure you've got the right switch. IIRC, there are 2 brake switches, one for the lights and another for the cruise/trans/abs

What they said, for a cheap fix you can take a bottlecap and tape it on top of the pedal.
