I have had to replace 2 distributor modules in one month. Any suggestions as to why this module fails? I have had a oil leak for some time that several mechanics have not been able to find the source of, could low oil pressure be causing this module to fail? Is there a low oil pressure shut down on this engine (engine 1.6) Thank you

no low pressure shut down... how can a tech not find an oil leak.. clean the engine start it and look for where oil is coming out.. do you mean you replaced the distributor assembly?

Are the assemblies factory or aftermarket? Aftermarket tend to have a low reliability rate. If factory check for possible secondary leaks in dist. such as rotor shorting to dist. shaft high voltage leaking can short out modules.
