I was checking the Carfax on a 1998 J30t, and the report says "Title Exempt'. What does this mean?

as per google

Usually exempt means that the car is old enough to be exempt from federal mileage disclosure laws.

If the mileage is not declared, due to that exemption, then the title is called exempt

Some states require odometer disclosure on all year vehicles, one with an exempt title from another state would be listed as TMU (true miles unknown)
