My mechanic put my QX4 on the computer and it comes up with a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor issue. Replaced the part, but still continues to give error. I'm thinking perhaps it's the connector? The car usually runs perfectly, but occaisionally it will sputter and stall or die suddenly in traffic. Is there a way to replace the connector without replacing that entire wiring harness?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can advise further.

You can replace the wiring and shielding to the maf but that would require ripping apart a good portion of your engine harness. Might be better off purchasing a used engine harness. Make sure the connections in the plug are pushed all the way in to make a proper connection.
