Post

Im not the best when it comes to cars, but ill try to explain my cars issues and see if someone can help me understand what part is wrong.

The car is a 98 infiniti i30 with 255,000km on it. I had the transmission looked at and I was told its fine. The check engine light is on so I had it scanned and the part needed to be replaced was the evap system pressure sensor but i have yet to get the money to replace this part. The nissan mechanic told me that a bad evap pressure sensor will not affect car preformance so its not needed to be replaced immediatly. Everything else is fine. Battery was just replace a few weeks ago aswell

The issues my car has is once and a while like maybe 4-5 times a year the car wont start first try, but once it starts it wont happen again for months down the road. When the car is running and at a range of different speeds (ie @60kmph its the worst) , if I am just coasting without pressing the pedal the car seems to studder and the transmission shifts very erraticly. When I release the gas pedal i get a sensation like the car is outta gas for a few seconds then it goes away. Is this the fuel pump or fuel filter that is causeing these problems? or is it the evap sensor? Well let my know what you guys think what part is wrong cause im stumped probably something completly different then what i think. thanks
