Where can I find one? I found and orphaned, obviusly broken vacuum hose that runs from the top of the transmission case to the area where the airbox/MAF/TB are located. I cannotfind the other male end anywhere. I'm totally stumped. This broken vac line has to go some where. A hint though; the larger vacuum/vent line that runs from the top of the front valve cover to the oil trap/reservoir situated between the MAF and the TB has a loom or hanger on it that is meant to hold this orphaned vac hose in place. The hose was obviously broken since the very end, around an 1/8"segment, was obviously compressed by a hose clamp.

I need help either ID'g this hose or a diagram that will allow me to R&R this brittle old hose (car has 130,000+ miles).

Here's the "EC" section of the FSM. Look to pages 16-18 for vacuum illustrations. This is for the Maxima, but should apply to your I30.

Thanks. As it turned out what looks like a vacuum hose is really some sort of bleed or vent line that runs from the top of the A/T case all the way up to the top of the engine ending loomed to the larger vent hose that runs from the front valve cover to the oil vapor reservoir situated between the MAF and the TB. I want to my local Nissan dealer who pulled up the schematic affiliated with the A/T. He was familiar with the line saying that it's not unusual to see cars that have no vent line remaining. He said, "don't worry about it." Clearly, the vent line terminating at the highest point of the engine was ment to have some sort of draw or draft from the A/T case.

Thanks for the come-back. This is my GF's car. My '99 VW Passat is having a Spec Clutch stage 2+ lightened flywheel and clutch installed tomorrow. That just gives you a hint to the mods to my "sleeper" that's chipped, dropped, brake upgrades, turbo, etc. etc. But dang, I like the Nissan engineering.
