Looks like a PITA to replace these bushings so appreciate any short cut help.

The driver side rubber bushing retains the side to side rack movement during left right turns and also provides vertical support. The passenger side rubber bushing does not retain rack side to side only vertical support.

The driver side rubber bushing got damaged due to power steering fluid leak that has been fixed some time ago with Lucas, replaced the boot on the rack that broke from the leak.

I only need to replace the driver side rubber bushing any short cuts to do that? Passenger side rubber bushing in good shape.

I know the stabilizer bar needs to be moved forward to get at the driver side rack bushing bolts out - 3 of them.

Once the driver side bushing bracket is removed do I need to disconnect the steering box (hope not) or is there enough slack to gently pry the rack forward a bit to slip the driver side split rubber bushing in place? That would be great if so.

Thanks for the posts
