1998 I30 Changing knock sensor and not pulling plenum. I am going by the >>

method described in the Maxima, I30 &I35 section on this site. I am using 12" long 1/4" drive extension with a universal and a 1/4 12 mm hex socket and 1/4" drive ratchet. I am able to get the tool on the bolt and apply torque but not enough to break it loose without damage to the 1/4 drive universal.

I am thinking of trying a 3/8" setup using a 3/8" universal with a 12mm socket built into the universal (will have to find and purchase). but I am not sure this will fit.

Does any body have another suggestions based on experience with removal and install of the knock sensor without pulling the plenum. I need a way to break loose the 12mm bolt.
