1998 Altima with front end issues

Hi, I hope someone may have an idea about this.

I have a 1998 Nissan Altima SE 2.4 with A/T & 123,000 miles on it. When I'm driving on the highway, above 60mph and lift off the gas, this noise comes from the front end. It sounds like a muted, metallic, rubber clunking that is in time with road speed. The sound stop when you decelerate to under 55 mph. It sounds like it might be CV joints (aren't they the whole Axel assemblies?).
