hey guys

my friend got 1998 240sx with S13 redtop swap, everything runs properly and perfect. But in Canada, 1998+ car need OBD2 to pass emission, right now aircared computer can't detect the OBD2, since it's OBD1 for S13, so my friend can't run and pass aircared.

any idea how to solve this?
anything out there can plug and play or replacepment ecu that will let OBD2 scanner detect?and runs S13 redtop sr20

This is the wrong section but the answer is no. jdm motors do not use a obd2 protocall. If there is a way, the only thing I could think of is if you wired up a b14 or b15 sentra, harness ecu and obd2 connector and had that ecu tuned for your setup. You would pretty much have to wire up the entire setup to work like a sentra with a obd2 sentra. My best suggestion is to call jwt.

I've always wanted to do an s14 obd2 sr20det swap using the jwt ecu from a b14 sentra ser with the harness adapted to the s14 using the stock s14 obd2 connector just to fait its possible (there isn't any reason it couldnt be done) but ask the swaps I've done, nobody ever wants to go that extra mile.

you would have to swap in a distributor from an S14 SR20DE, the sentra ECU can't support coil on plug.

Wiring specialties is working on that very problem. I was talking to them about making a p&p harness for that ecu and he said there should be a something out there available to keep the cop and would get back to me.
